The Rhodes Women's Soccer team completed the weekend sweep with a 4-0 victory over Westminster College. 

The Lynx got out to a sluggish start and struggled to connect passes early in the game.  Once the Lynx settled in, they began to move the ball and create chances.  In the 27th minute the Lynx were awarded a penalty kick when the ball struck a defender's arm.  Senior Beth Ann McCloskey converted the PK to get her first tally of the year.  The Lynx extended their lead when junior Heidi Press scored in the 34th minute.

The Lynx were on the board again in the 61st minute when McCloskey found senior Mae Casey for the goal.  The final goal of the match came in the 84th minute when senior Betsy Peterson finished a rebound off Courtney Howe, the Westminster goal keeper.

Howe made 14 saves for Westminster while Allison Cowling and Chandler Kuhlman combined to make 4 saves for the Lynx.  Rhodes held the advantage in corner kicks 11-1 and also shots 29-4.

Rhodes returns to action next weekend when they travel to the University of the South (Sewanee) to face Transylvania University and also Washington and Lee University.
