Lynx Football Wins Another Nail Biter

The Rhodes College Football Team pulled off another thrilling victory by a tally of 21-17 against the visiting Stags of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.

Memphis TN - The Rhodes College Football Team pulled off another thrilling victory by a tally of 21-17 against the visiting Stags of the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges.

The Lynx were led offensively by a punishing gound attack consisting of Junior Dane Wilson and Freshman Kevin Vieria again this week. Wilson rushed for 173 yards and 2 touchdown on 26 attempts, whereas Vieria rushed for 98 yards and 1 touchdown on 17 attempts. Defensively, the Lynx were led by Joseph Raby with 12 tackles and Justin Toliver with 11 tackles, also Michael Olushoga came up huge with multiple tackles on the final drive to help seal the Lynx victory. On special teams, Senior Lukas Stockhausen was perfect on the day for PATs going 3 for 3.

The Lynx will be at home against next week as SAA conference opponent, Birmingham-Southern, makes their way to Memphis for Parents Weekend. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM CST.
