Sewanee defeated the Lynx 2-1 on friday in a Southern Athletic Association match. The Lynx stormed onto the field and had 5 shots in the first 20 minutes but couldn't find the back of the and it was the Tigers who scored against the run of play in the 21st minute to go up 1-0. Rhodes had much of the play and possession but could not break through the Sewanee defense and the Tigers were able to get a second goal on a counterattack midway through the 2nd half. The Lynx responded with a nice goal off the head of Jason Crutcher from a cross from Will Porter in the 77th minute and continued to press Sewanee and thought they had a penalty kick in the 89th minute when Crutcher was taken down in the box but the referee let play go. The Lynx outshot Sewanee 18-9 on the day.  Rhodes faces Centre at home on Sunday at 2:00pm.
