Amy Handelman (Jackson, MS) went to the foul line and hit the first of two foul shots to make the score 75-73.
After a free throw violation, Rhodes freshman guard
Sarah Johnson (Little Rock, AR) stole the inbounds pass and her layup with 0.6 seconds to play tied the game at 75-75 and sent it to overtime.
In overtime the Lynx were without senior
Sharwil Bell (Memphis, TN) and
Lauren Avant (Memphis, TN) who both fouled out. Bell scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds, and Avant added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Rhodes controlled the overtime session outscoring the Tigers 22-15 for the win. Johnson led all Lynx scorers with 20 points and pulled down a team high 10 rebounds, for her first career double double. Junior guard
Sarah Womack (Germantown, TN) added 16 points and Handelman had a double double, with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Mary Barber (St. Louis, MO) added 9 points as Rhodes won for the 5th consecutive game and improved to 13-5 on the season and 7-3 in SCAC play. Rhodes faces Southwestern (TX) tomorrow in Georgetown, TX.
