The Rhodes Volleyball team traveled down to Millsaps College to participate in the Millsaps Invitational Tournament.  On Day 1 the team faced off against Mississippi College and Martin Methodist University.  

In the team's first match, the Lynx defeated the Choctaws in four sets by the scores of 26-24, 20-25, 25-18, 29-27.  Freshman Libero Maraia Tremarelli made her collegiate debut leading the Lynx with 38 digs.  Outside Hitters Erin Lowrance and Claire Warren combined for 24 kills while Middle Blocker Stephanie Renner led the team with 5 blocks.

The team lost a five set decision to Martin Methodist University.  The Lynx found themselves down early on in set one to come but fought back to win 25-22.  Martin Methodist took the next two sets 25-15 and 25-23 before the Lynx took set four 27-25.  Unfortunately the Lynx fell in the fifth set 15-8.  Senior Outside Hitter Claire Warren led the team with 15 kills, 16 digs and 4 service aces while Right Side attackers Lexie Krall and Olivia Wells combined for 22 kills.  Middle Blocker Stephanie Renner led the team again with 4 blocks. 

The team returns to action tomorrow morning to face off against Faulkner University and University of New Orleans.
