Austin College gets the best of Rhodes in non-conference action.  Rhodes came firing right out of the gates when freshmen Kelsey Keown fired a shot off of the top corner of the goal.  After that the Lynx burned out and struggled to maintain possession against the Roo defense.  Austin College scored in the 25th minute when Shelly Casey was able to finish off a bouncing ball in front of the Lynx net.  From there Austin College shut the door on the Lynx time after time.  In the 2nd half, junior Betsy Peterson had a quality strike on goal to only see it pushed around the goal by Maya Warnock on the Roo goal.

Senior Stephanie Sermonet played all 90 minutes for the Lynx finishing with 5 saves.  The Lynx lead the Roos in corners, 6 to 3.  Rhodes had 12 shots with only 3 on frame.

The Lynx are back in action this Friday when they travel to Principia College.
