The Lynx defeated Hendrix in the opening game of the SCAC soccer tournament, 2-0. The Lynx came out aggressive in the first half and were unable to break down the Warriors defense. That all changed when junior Mae Casey scored early in the second half. Freshman Kelsey Keown got free down the left side and found Casey for the finish. 15 minutes later Keown got free on the left side again and found senior Ashley Ladd for the insurance goal. The Lynx defense held firm and limited Hendrix to just 4 shots and 2 corners.
Leading the Lynx attack was Ladd with 6 shots total and 2 on goal. The Lynx generated 21 shots and 7 corners. Senior Stephanie Sermonet made 3 saves in the shutout for the Lynx.
Rhodes has just 24 hours before they turn around and face top seeded and #3 Trinity University tomorrow in the SCAC semi-final tomorrow at noon.

In the 2nd game of the women's tournament Centre College defeated Sewanee 1-0.
