Birmingham Southern defeated Rhodes 4-1 in SCAC action. The panthers scored 3 goals in the first half which proved to be too much for the Lynx to overcome. Bailey Kimbell scored 3 of the 4 goals for BSC. Kimbell's first goal came off of a service from Alicia Plotky in the 11th minute. Kimbell struck agin in the 34th minute. Linda Amaya scored the third goal of the half for BSC 4 minutes later off of a service from Kimbell. Kimbell completed the hat trick in the 62nd minute off of another service from Plotkey.
The Lynx broke the BSC shutout in the 78th minute when junior
Mae Casey found sophomore
Maddy Esther for the goal.
Amber Hernandez played all 90 minutes for the Panthers and finished with 6 saves. Senior Stephanier Sermonet and
Allison Cowling made 4 saves for the Lynx. Rhodes had the advantage in cornes 6-3 and also in shots 13-12.
The Lynx are back in SCAC action when they travel next weekend to Centre College and the University of the South.
