The Rhodes Men's Soccer Team lost two conference matches in Texas this past weekend. On Friday evening, the Lynx took on #5 Trinity University in a match which the Lynx looked to proved something. After Trinity University opened the score just seven minutes in the match, the Lynx responded well just minutes after with an equalizing goal from Freshman Forward Jason Crutcher. The match went on at high intensity with both teams looking for more goals. Both teams went on through a period where goals were exchanged just minutes after each goals. Freshman Midfielder Andrew Roskos-Ewoldsen and Senior Defender Christian Kurth both scored their first goals of the season. Andrew Rosko-Ewoldsen Scored on a penalty kick, while Christian Kurth scored on a well executed corner kick assisted by Sophmore Defender Patrick Harris. The final score of the match was 10-3 for Trinity University.

The Lynx travelled to Georgetown, TX to take on Southwestern University Pirates on Sunday for their second conference match in TX. Southwestern scored first on a breakway and the score at half time was 1-0 for Southwestern University. Freshman Forward Jason Crutcher once again equalized for the Lynx. Tyler Marshall Assisted Jason Crutcher on the equalizing goal. Southwestern went on to capitalize on the Lynx Defense mistakes to claim a 3-1 victory.

The Lynx are back at home to take on Oglethorpe University on Friday October 14th at 4pm.
