The Rhodes Lynx headed into Conway, Arkansas on Friday January 21st looking to put up their first conference win of the season. However, the Warriors from Hendrix College were not going to allow that to happen on this night. With a rowdy crowd backing them up, the Hendrix men came out of the gates furiously and never tapped the brakes. The Warriors defeat the visiting Lynx 72 to 55.
It was a difficult game for your Lynx as they got behind early and often. The Warriors executed at a high level and grew a 10 point lead that they would never relinquish. Rhodes was at arms length all night long, but was never able to lead through forty minutes.
Balanced scoring paced Rhodes with all seven players that scored, scoring 6 or more points. Junior Kory Kilpatrick and Freshman Shane Watson both led the way with 10 points a piece. Hendrix was led by Junior forward Ammon Martin who had a triple double in his sights; 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists.
The Lynx head to Jackson, MS on Sunday to face Millsaps College and end this three game skid. In the previous meeting between these two teams, the Lynx defeat the Majors in a close call 58 - 56.
