Rhodes came up empty against preseason #12 Christopher Newport in a hard fought match in Newport News, VA.  The Lynx played well in the middle of the field, but struggled in both circles, allowing CNU five goals on 26 shots and 21 penalty corners.  Rhodes had a few good runs and secured two corners and had 6 shots on the day but the Lynx were unable to find the back of the cage.  Five different players scored for the captains, three first half goals and two scores notched in the second period of play.  Goalkeeper Sarah Dockery had an outstanding effort for Rhodes with 21 saves including 14 in the first half.  Rhodes will face Denison and Kenyon this weekend at Centre in Danville, KY.
