The Lynx field hockey team came from behind today to beat Hendrix 4-1 today in Conway, AR. Hendrix scored on their first shot of the game on a penalty corner just 12 minutes into the first half. Rhodes responded to tie the match up with a goal by
Sara Sanders, her first of the season. Rhodes found the back of the cage two minutes later to take the lead on a penalty stroke by
Charlie Wagner. The goal turned out to be the game winner on the day. The Lynx continued to maintain posession, adding two breakaway goals to secure the win.
Lindsey Gurkovich assisted both
Taylor Mills and Chelsea Mcleod with two second half goals.
Regan McLaughlin and Sam Anscher had outstanding efforts on the defensive end of the field.
Jordan Robinson and
Sarah Dockery split the win in goal for Rhodes. The Lynx outshot the Warriors 23-6 and held a 7-2 advantage in penalty corners. The win improves the Lynx to 6-1 with a record of 2-0 in the conference. Rhodes plays their first home game tomorrow against Lindenwood at 2:30 pm.
