18 2nd half points by junior, Sharwil Bell, was not enough to push the Lynx past the Stormy Petrels of Oglethrope, falling 81-74 in Mallory Gymnasium on December 31st. Bell paced the Lynx with 27 points on 9-20 shooting while freshman, Amy Handelman, posted career highs in both scoring and rebounding going for 20 and 15 respectively.

Rhodes was unable to overcome Oglethorpe's 3 point attack as the Petrels were a blazing 63.2% from behind the arc, connecting on 12 of 19 three point field goal attempts.  The Petrels were led by junior, Kelley Reeves, with 16 points, going 6-10 from the floor and 4-5 from 3.

Oglethorpe runs their record to 3-7, 2-0 in SCAC play, while Rhodes falls to 2-8, 0-3 in the SCAC.

The Lynx return to action on Sunday, January 2nd against the Sewanee Tigers at 1pm in Mallory Gymnasium.
