The Lynx took the defending SCAC tournament champions, Centre, to the wire Friday December 3rd, but were defeated 63 - 60.  "I was proud of how hard the guys competed, as we continue to make progress at both ends of the floor and improve our poise we will get on the right end of these games," said Coach DeGeorge.

In the first half, the Lynx came out strong and took a quick 10 - 0 lead.  A few runs by each team resulted in a Rhodes taking a 32 - 27 into halftime.  Sophomore Andrew Galow led the Lynx with 14 points.  Theo Hartwell came of the bench with energy adding 4 points and 5 rebounds in limited minutes.

The Lynx came out slow in the second half and relinquished the lead with 15:59 remaining.  Rhodes would come within one several times, but were never able to regain the lead.  A contested three-point field goal with no time remaining went wide left leaving the Lynx three points short.  Sophomore Andrew Galow played well finishing with 29 points on 11 for 18 shooting.  The Colonels were sparked with bench play as Greg Ross and Collin Lopez scored 14 and 13 points.

Rhodes will play again on Sunday December 5th at 2pm against the defending SCAC East Division Champions, DePauw College.
