The Rhodes Volleyball team finished 1-1 on Day 1 of the SCAC Volleyball Championships. The team opened up the tournament with a three set win versus Sewanee by the scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-7. Outside Hitter Claire Warren led the Lynx with 14 kills and 2 blocks. Senior Defensive Specialist Alana Fritsche led the team with 3 service aces. Setter Michelle Quina added 14 assists and 3 service aces.

In the final match of the day, the team lost in three straight sets to DePauw by the scores of 21-25, 17-25, 21-25. Right Side Attackers Lexie Krall and Phylicia Douglas led the Lynx with 7 kills apiece. Setter Michelle Quina added 13 assists, 1 service ace and 8 digs.

The team returns to action tomorrow morning when they face off against Southwestern University.
