Men's Soccer defeated host, Austin College, 2-1 Friday afternoon with the game winner coming in the final minute of play. After a penalty kick converted by sophomore, Petar Radujkovich, in the 79th minute to level the score at 1-1, the Lynx would find one more opportunity to end the game in regulation. With just under a minute to play, outside back, Michael Hampl, collected the ball and dribbled with pace into the attacking third. As time ticked away, Hampl picked his head up and found a streaking
Nick Bailey in the box. Hampl's serve was placed perfectly on Bailey's head 12 yards from goal, and the senior who just returned from an injury became a hero on the day with 46 seconds left, as his header was buried in the top right corner of the Austin goal.
The victory improves Rhodes' record to 7-7-4 on the season and 4-5-1 in SCAC play. Rhodes will finish their season on Sunday, as they travel to Colorado Springs to take on Colorado College.
