For the 2nd game in a row, Rhodes came out with a strong defensive effort in the first half against Greenville. The Lynx held the Greenville Panthers to just 25 points on 35% shooting and took a 33-25 lead into the locker room. A strong run by Greenville late in the game led to a 75-64 win for the Panthers.
Rhodes continued playing well keeping the lead until the 9:38 mark of the second half. A strong push from Greenville was too much for the Lynx to handle. Rhodes fell behind by ten points nearing the 5:00 mark and ended up losing 75-64. Coach DeGeorge said, "We really brought the effort necessary to win for 30 minutes, but once the fatigue of back-to-back games set in, we lost our level of execution and effort. This will be a great learning experience for our young team."
The Lynx were lead offensively by freshman guard Shane Watson, racking up 18 points and dishing out 4 assists, and sophomore Andrew Galow, contributing 11 points and 8 rebounds. Off the bench, sophomore Theo Hartwell sparked the team with 12 points. Greenville was led by K.J. Hilliard and Obinna Agomo with 14 and 13 points respectively.
On Saturday November 27th the Lynx will be in action again at 7pm against Piedmont College.
