Rhodes Women's Soccer defeated visiting Millsaps College 4-1 Friday night at Mike Rose Stadium. The Lynx opened up the scoring in the first half in the 23rd minute with a goal from
Zoe Clark. Despite a barage of opportunities from Rhodes, the score would remain 1-0 at halftime.
Millsaps evened the score 5 minutes into the 2nd half off a goal from Margaret Eggers. Rhodes was not deterred, and went right back on the offensive, scoring three goals in a span of 7 minutes. Junior forward,
Laura Flink, found streaking freshman midfielder,
Sarah DiLella, who tucked in her second goal of the season to make the score 2-1 in the 64th minute. Flink would find the back of the net herself with an assist from
Zoe Clark just 5 minutes later. Junior forward,
Ashley Ladd, would top of the scoring with a shot at the top of the 18 in the 71st minute. The Lynx outshot the visiting Majors 22-3 and held the edge in corner kicks 5-1.
Rhodes improves to 7-8 on the season and 5-3 in the SCAC. The Lynx host Birmingham Southern on Sunday at noon.
