Women's Soccer traveled to Oglethorpe in Atlanta, GA Sunday afternoon for a SCAC match.  The first half was back and forth, with the Stormy Petrels edging out the Lynx in shots 7-4.  The best chance of the half came when freshman, Jenna Sarett, dribbled 2 defenders at the top of the box and hit a shot off the crossbar.  The two teams would go into the half knotted at 0-0.

The Lynx came out with more intent to possess the ball in the 2nd half.  Rhodes would outshoot Oglethorpe 7-4 in the 2nd half.  In the 68th minute, a corner from freshman, Maddy Esther, would find the head of junior, Laura Flink, who put the Lynx up 1-0.  Oglethorpe battled back, but the Lynx defense, anchored by junior goalkeeper, Stephanie Sermonet, would keep the Stormy Petrels off the scoreboard, preserving the 1-0 for the Lynx.

Rhodes improves to 6-8 on the season and 4-3 in SCAC play.  The Lynx will host Millsaps College on Friday, October 29th for Homecoming Weekend.
