Rhodes College Men's Soccer dropped it's second match of the weekend as they traveled to Danville, KY to take on SCAC opponent, Centre College. The Lynx started the game on the offensive, generating scoring opportunities in the attacking half. However, the momentum would shift in the 23rd minute, as Centre forward, Austin Hall, was slipped through on a counter-attack breakaway, putting the Colonels up 1-0. The game would remain that way going into the half.
Rhodes seemed to gain back the possession in the second half, but couldn't seem to crack the Colonel defense. The Lynx best opportunity of the half came when sophomore, Petar Radujkovich, was slipped in on a 1 v 1 with the keeper from a difficult angle. Centre goalie, Chris Jackson, was able to tip Radujkovich's shot just over the bar. Centre would hold on for the 1-0 win.
Rhodes drops to 4-5-3 on the season and 1-4 in SCAC play. They will host Berry College next Saturday at 1:00 pm.
