Lindsey Gurkovich got the Lynx off to a good start early today with a goal just over two minutes into play on an assist from
Chelsea McLeod. Transylvania would come back strong to tie the game at one a piece on a goal from Shawna Corman just 10 minutes later.
Hillary Relyea would go on to score the game winner for the Lynx on an assist from
Charlie Wagner with 18 minutes to go in the first half. Wagner scored the Lynx third goal on an assist from Relyea just before the half.
Sarah Kennedy tallied one final goal for Rhodes on an assist from
Libby Jones early in the second half.
Valerie Clarke and
Jordan Robinson split time in goal for the Lynx notching a combined 9 saves. The Lynx out shot the Pioneers 39-16 and held a 17-5 advantage in penalty corner opportunities. Rhodes will face off against Sewanee and DePauw on the road this coming weekend.
