The Lynx defeated visiting Coe College in Memphis, TN 2-1.  Three freshmen were responsible for all of the scoring for Rhodes.  Leading the way was Mae Casey (New Orleans, LA), with a goal and an assist.  Casey would score the first goal of the game on an assist from fellow Freshmen Betsy Peterson (Knoxville, TN) just before half time.

With just under 16 minutes remaining, Casey would find Kate Danagher (Winter Park, FL) for the eventual game winning goal.  Coe College would get a goal back from Taylor Allen with under 10 minutes left to play,

Becca Clarin (Clarendon Hills, IL) and Stephanie Sermonet (Brentwood, TN) would split time in goal, making a combined 4 saves.  Erin Ridley made 7 saves for Coe.  The Lynx out shot Coe 12 to 5 and also held the edge in corner kicks 4-2.

The Lynx return to action when they face cross town rival Christian Brothers University at Rhodes College on 9/23 at 5pm.
