Senior Bridget Nicholson came to the rescue for the Lynx in the second straight game.  Last game Nicholson was responsible for tying the game against UTD.  This time, Nicholson was responsible for scoring the game-winning goal against East Texas Baptist University.  Nicholson's goal came with just under 10 minutes to play in game one of the ASC vs SCAC Challenge.

Laura Flink opened up scoring for the Lynx about 30 minutes into the game when she connected on a corner kick from Emily Shaw.  In the 63rd minute, Rebecca Davis snuck through the Lynx defense and finished a breakaway for ETBU to tie the game up. 

Becca Clarin played in goal for the Lynx, tallying 4 saves, and Tamara Carlisle had 10 saves, however the Lynx outshot ETBU 17-9.  Corner kicks were also in favor of the Lynx, 4-3.

Our Rhodes Lynx will face the hosts of the ASC - SCAC Challenge, Hardin-Simmons, on Saturday, Sept. 12th.  HSU beat Austin College 2-1 on the opening day of the Challenge.
