The Men's Soccer team, looking to avenge an 8-2 loss at home last year, played their final game of the season in Georgetown, TX against Southwestern University. The men came out strong and found themselves up 1-0 in the 9th minute when sophomore Michael Pappas scored his fifth goal of the season off a cross from junior
Nick Bailey. Southwestern answered seven minutes later with a goal from a poorly defended corner kick, and then caught the Lynx off guard with a dipping volley from about thirty yards out less than a minute later. Rhodes was still in the game, but had lost a bit of the fight they had from their previous matchup at Trinity two nights prior, and they went into halftime down 2-1. The second half started off with some chances in Rhodes' favor, but none of them resulted in a goal and the Pirates scored again in the 56th minute to go up 3-1. The Lynx, however, answered eight minutes later when senior Zac Berry scored when
Nick Bailey set him up (for his second assist of the game) after stripping the ball from a Southwest defender. The rest of the game was a constant back-and-forth battle, and the game ended in a 3-2 Southwestern victory.
