After scoring in the first 3 minutes of the game, Rhodes eventually fell to DePauw 2-1 in penalty strokes after 100 minutes of well played hockey.
Lindsey Gurkovich scored on an assist from
Libby Jones early in the game to put the Lynx on the board. Rhodes held the lead until late in the first half when Kimberly Trainor found the back of the cage for DePauw. A scoreless and hard fought second half on both sides was followed by two scoreless 15 minutes 7 aside overtime sessions. DePauw went on to win the game in penalty strokes scoring on 3 of 4 while Rhodes scored on 2 of 5 with successful attempts by freshman Jessica Murrer and junior
Charlie Wagner. Rhodes (6-2) will host Hendrix this Saturday at 1 pm.
