Men's Soccer Defeats Huntingdon

10/17/2009 4:04:54 PM

On Saturday, October 17, the Rhodes College Men's Soccer team hosted Huntingdon College for their only match of the week. It was a slow start for the Lynx, and both teams entered halftime goal-less, but after an inspiring talk from Coach Marcinko, the guys were firing on all pistons. Zac Berry, who was a dominant force down the right side of the field all day, started off the scoring just two minutes into the second half when he finished a cross from Richie Sewell. It was Zac's second game-winning goal of the year, and his fifth goal all together. Less than ten minutes later, Nick Bailey found Petar Radujkovic, who put the ball in the back of the net for the second goal. The game finished 2-0 in favor of the Lynx, and their record goes to 6-5-1. William Lay started in goal for Rhodes, and Zach Fernberger replaced him for the last thirty minutes of the game.
