The Lynx volleyball team opened the 2009 conference season at the SCAC West/Central Divisional hosted by Trinity University. The team dropped both of their matches on the day. The Lynx dropped their opening match to the Tigers of Colorado College in three straight sets while losing their final match in three straight sets to the tournament host Trinity University. 

Against Colorado College, Sophomore Outside Hitter Claire Warren led the team with 8 kills while Senior Middle Blocker Maura Mohler added 4 blocks for Rhodes.

In the second match of the night, Claire Warren again led the Lynx with 9 kills while Libero Kayla McCrury contributed 15 digs.
