The Rhodes women's soccer team improved to 4-0 in SCAC play with a shutout victory over the Oglethorpe Stormy Petrels by a score of 4-0.

The Lynx struggled to find the Oglethorpe goal early in the game but got on the scoreboard with less than 6 minutes to play in the half when junior forward Molly Buss scored her first goal of the season off a  cross from fellow forward, freshman Bailey Morgan

Morgan would set up the Lynx second goal in the second half when she assisted junior midfielder Diana Buss, the twin sister of Molly.  Morgan would tally her 3rd assist of the game in conjunction with sophomore forward E.A. Lawnin as they two combined to set up junior forward Jessie Cassidy who finished from inside the 6 yard box.

Senior midfielder Caroline Voelkel finished off the scoring with her team-leading 8th goal of the season as Lawnin beat a defender and crossed the ball to notch her second assist of the game.

The Lynx improve to 7-3 overall and will travel to Georgetown, TX on Friday, October 5, 2007 to take on the Pirates of Southwestern University at 2:00 pm and will take on the Trinity University Tigers on Sunday, October 7th at 10:00 am.
