The Rhodes women dropped a heart breaker to Emory University in Atlanta, GA by a score of 3-2. Melanie Sharry and Bailey Morgan scored goals for the Lynx in their 2nd loss of the 2007 season.

Rhodes got on the scoreboard in the 37th minute when junior forward Melanie Sharry finished a ball that bounced around inside the penalty area after a Lynx corner kick. Rhodes held the 1-0 lead into halftime.

Emory leveled the score just under 2 minutes into the second half on a goal by Jamie English. Emory took the lead in the 74th minute on a Shayna Bryan goal.

The Lynx fought back to even the score in the 83rd minute when Melanie Sharry broke free and slotted to ball for freshman forward Bailey Morgan who slipped the ball into the Eagles net.

Emory's game winner came from an unfortunate touch by a Rhodes defender that squeaked into the Lynx net.

Rhodes falls to 3-2 overall and Emory improves to 5-0. The Lynx will face Agnes Scott on Sunday, September 16th in Atlanta.
