Coach Cleanthes Collects 200th Career Win

Coach Jeff Cleanthes, the head coach of the Rhodes College baseball team, collected his 200th career win this afternoon in a 10-5 victory over DePauw University in Greencastle, IN.  Coach Cleanthes has completely revamped the Rhodes baseball program since he took over in the fall of 2003.  Before taking over at Rhodes, Coach Cleanthes spent 3 years at Keuka College, in Keuka Park, NY.  In his 9+ years as a head coach, Coach Cleanthes has a career coaching record of 200-174. 

In his time at Rhodes, Coach Cleanthes has a 161-114 record, winning 58% of the games he has coached.  It took him, just 2 seasons to turn the Rhodes program around, and since doing so in the spring of 2006, Rhodes has  a record of 137-63, for a winning percentage of 68.5.  Rhodes is currently 20-7 this season and are ranked 27th in the country in both the D3baseball.com and ABCA polls.  This year's team is led by a senior class that has seen Coach Cleanthes' 100th career win as freshmen, and 200th as seniors.
