Michael Brice joined the Rhodes College staff as the Head Men’s Golf Coach in Fall of 2024.
Before coming to Rhodes, Brice served as the head men’s golf coach at Jacksonville State University, taking over the program in October 2022.
Prior to Jacksonville State, Brice spent five years as the head men’s and women’s golf coach at Christian Brothers University in Memphis. During his tenure, he elevated both programs into the Top 75 nationally in NCAA Division II. His men's teams earned seven individual and nine team victories, while the women's program recorded two individual wins and the first four team victories in program history.
Brice previously spent three years as the Director of Golf Instruction at The First Tee of Greater Austin and as an assistant coach at Concordia University Texas. At The First Tee, he oversaw golf instruction for more than 1,000 area students. At Concordia, he helped the men's program reach a No. 8 national ranking and a Top-20 finish at the NCAA Division III Championships while helping the women's program earn a Top-50 national ranking.
From 2012-14, Brice led the women's golf program at Rossview High School in Clarksville, Tennessee, to a 54-3 record, district and regional championships and a state runner-up finish. He began his collegiate coaching career in 2003 as an assistant men's golf coach at the University of North Florida.
Brice played collegiately at Auburn University for a Tigers program ranked among the Top 10 nationally before beginning a professional career that included eight tournament victories. His professional low round was a 64 at the PGA Tour Latinoamérica Venezuela Open, and he holds a course record in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with a 61.
