Prior to Blue Mountain Christian, Cox served as the junior varsity head coach at St. Mary's Episcopal School before becoming the head coach at St. Agnes Academy in Memphis, where she directed all aspects of the volleyball program.

Since 2023, she has coached with Memphis Juniors Volleyball Association, serving as the club's Lead Libero Positional Coach while coaching multiple elite teams. Before returning to Memphis, she coached with Arkansas Elite Training and Arkansas Juniors Storm, helping establish Arkansas Elite during the club's inaugural season.
A former NCAA Division I student-athlete, Cox played libero at Arkansas State University while earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness.
