Diamond O'Donovan

Diamond O’Donovan began her first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Rhodes College in the 2017-18 school year. She is the primary athletic trainer for women's soccer, men's & women's swimming and men's lacrosse. 

Prior to joining Rhodes College, Diamond worked at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC from 2015-2017. During her time there, her primary responsibilities were with the Fighting Camels women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse programs. In addition to her primary role, she was the summer camp medical coverage and sickle cell testing coordinator. She also served as a preceptor for the CAATE accredited athletic training program, as well as mentored graduate assistant athletic trainers.

Diamond earned her Master of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Kentucky in 2015 after working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Centre College in Danville, KY. She was the primary athletic trainer with the Colonels field hockey, women’s lacrosse, swimming and diving, and track and field teams. She also served as rehabilitation coordinator and preceptor for Eastern Kentucky University athletic training students.

Prior to her graduate studies, Diamond completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE. During her undergraduate studies, she had clinical rotations with a wide range of UD teams, as well as rotations at University of Delaware Physical Therapy Clinic and Newark High School.
