Alyssa Monahan joined Rhodes’ Athletic Training staff in 2018 and currently serves as an assistant athletic trainer. Monahan will be the primary athletic trainer for men’s soccer and men’s & women’s basketball.
Prior to joining Rhodes, Monahan obtained a Master of Science degree in Kinesiology/Athletic Training from Georgia Southern University. Monahan worked as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the Eagles, providing primary care for the men’s & women’s tennis and women’s swimming & diving teams. She also served as a clinical preceptor, teaching assistant and research mentor for the CAATE accredited undergraduate athletic training program. Monahan holds additional credentials in KinesioTape, Graston, and QPR Training.
A Pawling, NY native, Monahan graduated from Springfield College in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. While at Springfield, Monahan had clinical rotations with SC’s field hockey, men’s lacrosse, and women’s gymnastics teams; traveled to China with the athletic training department; and volunteered at the Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships, the Hartford Marathon, and Attain Therapy & Fitness.
