Rhodes College Athletics

Marie Brandewiede finished 144th of 213 competitors at the NCAA National Championships, hosted by Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. She qualified for the meet as an individual by placing 4th at last week's NCAA South/Southeast Regional Championships in Atlanta. This was the Lynx team captain's second appearance in the cross country National Championship meet. Brandewiede ran in the top 3 for the 2002 squad that qualified for Nationals as a team. She is a two-time track and field NCAA National Championships qualifier and an NCAA All-American in the 1500 meter run.
