Nick Lewis placed 18th to lead the Lynx to a 7th place out of 11 teams in a competitive field at the Crimson Classic in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Rhodes was the only NCAA Division III team at the meet. Host Alabama won the meet, scoring just 16 points, behind freshman Augustus Maiyo's individual victory in a time of 24:42.
Lewis ran a season best 26:27 and displaced at least 3 scorers from every other team at the meet except for Alabama. Heath Henderson ran a cross country best time of 27:04 as the team's second runner, placing 32nd out of 105 runners. Will Sheftall and team captain John Harrison were next for Rhodes, placing 42nd and 46th with times of 27:38 and 27:45, respetively. Freshman Mark Handelman not only broke into the team's top 7 but scored as the team's number 5 runner with a personal best time of 28:07 to place 52nd. Scott Barrows and Colin Strickland rounded out the Lynx top 7, placing 53rd and 58th in 28:11 and 28:26, respectively.
