Team captain May King led Rhodes to a 5th place finish at the SCAC Championships in Conway, Arkansas. She finished 17th out of 61 runners as the Lynx scored 116 points, just shy of Southwestern (113). DePauw won the meet by placing 7 runners in the top 15 and scoring just 28 points. Trinity (87) was a distant second, while Centre (99) was third. DePauw senior Leslie Dillon won the individual SCAC title with a time of 21:26 on the flat 6,000 meter course.
King's time of 23:18 was a personal best for a 6k cross country race. The senior narrowly missed All-SCAC honors, ending up 3 places and 8 seconds shy of the top 14. The finish was King's first time in the top 30 in her 4 years at the SCAC meet. Junior Lizzie Phillips was next for Rhodes, finishing 20th in the team scoring with a time of 23:30. Courtney Cockerell and Rachel Simpson finished near one another as the team's 3rd and 4th runners. They placed 23rd and 25th in 23:52 and 23:57, respectively. Sara LaPlante closed out the Lynx scoring by placing 32nd in 24:27. Nici Thomas and Jessye Bobinis rounded out the team's top 7 by placing 34th and 40th, respectively.
