Last weekend, the Men's Lacrosse team showed their resilience, finishing their season with a hard-fought game in the first round of the SAA tournament. Friday's competition will include some field events as well as preliminary races. The rest of the field events, races, and finals will compete on Saturday. The competition begins at 8:30 am.
At the last home meet, the Men's 4x100 broke the school record in race. The men's and women's sprint crews are also seeded for high finish in the relays, hurdles, and short sprints. Justin Davis will lead the field events in the horizontal jumps.

The tournament is styled as double elimination, and the winner of the Birmingham pod will advance to the championship series to face the winner of the Mount Berry pod. The team is ranked 3rd and will first face #6 Millsaps on Friday at 2:30 pm.
Jasmine Stanley is #3 in the SAA with a batting average of .470. Ace Gina Dudley has lowered her ERA to 2.78. The Lynx, as a team, has batted .323 this season.

Women's Lacrosse
The Lynx went undefeated in conference games this season and have won their last 44 consecutive SAA matchups. They head into the championship round of the SAA tournament hosted in Memphis to face off against Centre College. Coming off a hot 8-game winning streak, the Lynx hope to edge that into a 9-game winning streak to win their 9th SAA title in a row.
The Lynx have won the last eight SAA tournaments and hope to continue their streak. The Rhodes team won both the offensive and defensive player of the year awards, led by great performances all season by Avery Burke, who tallied 40 goals, and Bari Pinkett, who led the league in caused turnovers.
Scouting report: The Lynx defeated Centre 19-7 in the regular season matchup. Colonel Coach Monica Brumbelow was voted the coach of the year.
