Rhodes Athletics Weekend Preview (March 28-31)
Last weekend, the Women's swim team earned All-American honors in their 400m relay. Baseball finished 2-1, winning their series against Hendrix. Men's Lacrosse went 1-1 on the weekend. Men's tennis fell to CBU. Softball fell 0-3 to Berry. Women's Lacrosse defeated Sewanee.

Women's Lacrosse
    The Women's Lacrosse team won their first conference, sending them an overall record of 3-4. The Lynx will face off against Oberlin College on Mason Field at 3 pm. In their last matchup, the Lynx defeated Oberlin 22-8. 
    Bari Pinkett was the SAA athlete of the week. In the game against Sewanee, she posted four ground balls, three caused turnovers, and seven draw controls.  
    Scouting report: Oberlin College is 4-5 this season, winning big against SAA rival Centre College.

Track and Field
    The Track and Field team will travel to Washington University at St. Louis for a two-day meet. The distance carnival and hammer throw will be on Friday. The rest of the events will begin on Saturday at 9 am. 
    Thora Pearson is currently ranked 13th in DIII for her time in the 400m dash, 58.28. Justin Davis is ranked 3rd in the long jump, with a leap of 7.14m.

Baseball
As baseball enters its series against the Sewanee Tigers this weekend, its record is 14-9, and its SAA record is 5-4. The series will begin at noon, followed by another game at 3 pm on Friday. 
    Ben Daniel pitched great this weekend, improving his ERA to 2.19. Ben Burkhart is batting .417 and leading the Lynx this season.  
    Scouting report: The Sewanee Tigers are 11-12 this season and have a 2-7 SAA record.  

Softball
    The Lynx's record heading into the weekend is 12-6-1, with a conference record of 5-4. The Sewanee Tigers will come to Memphis this weekend. The series will begin on Friday at 2 pm at the Rhodes Softball Field. 
    Jasmyn Stanley leads the Lynx with a batting average of .455. Gina Dudley holds an ERA of 2.64. 
    Scouting report: The Tiger softball team has a 5-21 overall record and a conference record of 1-5.

    The Lynx are 3-4 this season as they head to Danville, KY, to play against the Centre Colonels. The game will start at 10 am. Last season, the Lynx defeated Centre 21-4.

    Scouting report: The Colonels are 9-2 this season with three conference wins.

As baseball enters its series against the Sewanee Tigers this weekend, its record is 14-9, and its SAA record is 5-4. The final game of the series will begin at noon Saturday.
