Rhodes Athletics Weekend Preview (February 29 - March 3)
Lynx Track and Field finished 3rd at the SAA Indoor Conference Championship. Baseball went 1-2 at home. Softball finished the weekend 1-3 at home. Men's Lacrosse lost at home. Women's Lacrosse went 1-1 away. Women's Basketball completed their season, falling to Millsaps in the semifinals of the SAA tournament. Men's Basketball finished their season making a run to the SAA Championship, yet ultimately falling to Berry College.

    The Women's team's current record for the spring season is 1-1. They will have their next match at home at the Dunavant Tennis Complex against Shorter University at 3 pm. In their last matchup, Rhodes defeated them 4-3. 
    The last matchup between SAA foe Hendrix College resulted in an 8-1 dominant victory.  
    Scouting report: The current record of Shorter University is 1-3 this season.

    The current record for the women is 1-1. They will host a match against Ouachita Baptist University on Friday at 1 pm at the Dunavant Tennis Complex. Their last matchup was a Rhodes win, 4-3.

The Lynx's record this season is 2-0, and they are off to a great start. The team will travel to Greencastle, Indiana, to play against DePauw University. The match will begin at 4:30 pm.
    The team has only dropped two sets so far in their two wins of the season and winning in dominating fashion.  
    Scouting report: The current record of the Depauw Tigers is 1-2 this season.

    The Women's Golf Team will travel to Nashville, TN, this Saturday and Sunday to compete in their spring season opener. Rose-Hulman will host the Music City Shootout. 
    Last year, the team finished 2nd in the SAA. 
    Scouting report: The spring opener will feature many DII & DIII colleges across the Mid-South. 

Track and Field 
The Men's and Women's Track teams will compete at their indoor season opener at Mississippi College this Saturday.
    The Men's and Women's teams completed their indoor season 3rd in the SAA and will now enter their outdoor stretch of the season. 
    The Mississippi College opener will feature many DII and DIII teams across the Mid-South region.

    The overall record for the Lynx is 5-4 as they open conference game play against Centre College this weekend. The Lynx will play a 3-game series against the Colonels on Stauffer Field. On Saturday, the first pitch will be at 11:00 am, followed by another game at 2:00 pm. 
    Nick Barber and Corbin Kinder lead in batting for the Lynx. Zac Sohosky lowered his ERA to 1.08.
    Scouting report: Centre's current record this season is 8-0. They will open up SAA play against the Lynx.  

Softball
    The overall record for the Lynx is 3-10-1 as they open conference game play against Centre College this weekend. The Lynx will play a 3-game series against the Colonels at home. The first pitch will be at noon on Saturday, followed by another game at 2:00 pm.
    Madison Granberry leads the Lynx with a batting average of .426. Gina Dudley's ERA is 3.29.  
    Scouting report: The Colonel's current record is 3-7 as they head into their first week of conference play against the Lynx. 

Men's Lacrosse
    The Lynx's current record is 2-2 this season, as they will host their next home game on Crain Field against Capital University. The match will begin at 1 pm. 
    Drew Downes leads the Lynx in goals scored this season with 19.  
    Scouting report: The overall record this season for Capital University is 1-2. Losing to SAA rivals Sewanee and defeating Hendrix.
