This weekend, the Lynx Cross Country Team traveled to Rose-Hulman in Terre Haute, Indiana, to compete in the DIII Pre-Nationals. The meet features almost all NCAA Division III teams, all hoping to qualify for the National Championship Race later in November.
The Men raced in the Championship 8K and finished 35th of all teams, averaging a time of 27:10.
Austin Rhea came in first for the Lynx, with a time of 26:17.2.
Daniel Blaich came in after Rhea, with a time of 26:58.3.
Jack Hinds, a freshman, was the third Lynx to cross the finish line, coming in at 27:15.8.
The Women raced in the Championship 6K. As a team, they finished 34th overall with an average time of 24:25. Freshman
Elena Gentry crossed the finish line first for the Lynx, coming in with a time of 22:57.2.
Hannah Jane Miller came in with a time of 24:19.0.
Sienna Collier the third Lynx to finish with a time of 24:34.8.
We are proud of our Lynx Cross Country athletes for their effort at Rose-Hulman this weekend and look forward to the rest of the season. The Lynx will compete in Clinton, MS, on October 18th at the Watson Collegiate Classic.
