Centre controlled game one from the start, scoring twice in the first inning on a two-run double. The Colonels then added two more runs in the second on a pair of errors from the Lynx, doublling their advantage to 4-0. In the top of the fourth, Madison Granberry launched a ball over the center field fence for her second dinger of the year. Unfortunately, it would be the only run scored by Rhodes in the game, as they eventually fell 9-1 in six innings.

Game Two
Centre 8
Rhodes 7
10 innings

Sunday's doubleheader started with a wild one. The Lynx jumped out to an early lead with a Madison Bromley RBI single in the first. A second run would come across in the second when Jordyn Ebert drove in Hannah Grace Roden. The third inning saw Rhodes strike for four runs. A single, walk, and single loaded the bases. Each runner moved up a base on a passed ball, making the score 3-0. A strikeout put two outs on the board, but the Lynx were not done. Roden doubled in KT Siekerka and Bromley with a shot to right-center. Two batters later, Roden stole third and scored on a throwing error, making the score 6-0.

Centre got their first run in the fourth, and then scored two more on a double from Brylin Isaccs, cutting the lead to 6-3. In the top of the seventh, Rhodes picked up an insurance run on another Roden double that scored Siekerka. Heading into the last frame, the Colonels battled. Their leadoff hitter singled, and scored on the next play following a Lynx error. The next batter hit a double to right to drive in another run. Rhodes called for Madison Keller to come on in relief. A walk and a passed ball put two runners in scoring position, and Centre took advantage. A groundball to short made it a 7-6 ballgame, and put a runner on third. Kaylen Storms then drove in the tying run with an infield single. The next two batters were put down to send the game to extras.

Nikki Greuel doubled in the eighth with two outs, but could not be brought in. Centre earned a walk in their at bat, but also stranded the runner. In the ninth, the Colonels put a runner on third with two outs thanks to a pair of bunts, but a fly out quelled that threat. Starting in the tenth, each team started with a runner on second. Unfortunately, the Lynx runner was thrown out trying to steal, followed by a pair of pop ups to end the inning. Centre was able to bring their runner home with a sac bunt and a groundball to claim the comeback victory.

Roden was huge in this one, tallying three hits, two doubles, two runs, three RBI and three steals.

The lead would balloon to 6-2 with a Cam Ferguson RBI bunt and a Roden RBI single. Centre added one in the final at bat with a single, but it would not be enough as the game ended 6-3.
