Memphis - Rhodes softball defeated Webster 10-1 in five innings Saturday afternoon before they shut out Maryville College 2-0. The Lynx improve to 7-1 on the season and have now won five games in a row.
Against Webster, each team scored an unearned run before the
Marisa Moore recorded the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the third inning. Eight runs on six hits in the fourth sealed the win and ended the game early.
Peyton Clark, in the lead-off slot, went two-of-three with two runs scored, a walk and an RBI.
Bri Maniscalco picked up her third win of the season and struck out five Gorloks while recording a 0.00 ERA.

Lauren King allowed just one hit in the fourth inning, backed by a solid defense to pick up her third shutout and improve to 4-0 on the season. Clark tallied six assists from second base and four from
Jill Healy at shortstop as the Lynx recorded a season-high 15 assists.
Leslie Matherne guarded first with 16 putouts.
Sunday games against the same two teams were cancelled due to field conditions from the weather. The Lynx will turn to this weekend, hosting Wittenberg, coach Wagner's alma mater, and Fontbonne University.
