Fall Championship Weekend Preview

Memphis - Field hockey, volleyball and women's soccer are all on the road this weekend (Nov. 8-10), playing in the Southern Athletic Association Conference Tournament. 

Volleyball kicks off the weekend as the seventh seed and will play No. 2-seeded and No. 9-ranked Berry College at noon CDT in Birmingham, Ala. For the single-elimination tournament, the SAA has four schools represented in the South Regional Rankings including Berry (2nd), BSC (3rd), Hendrix (6th) and Sewanee (8th). All live streaming links can be found on the tournament website, as well as relevant ticket information.

No. 2-seeded women's soccer will travel to Danville, Ky. and take on No. 3-seeded Sewanee Friday. The second game of the semifinals is scheduled for a 6 p.m. ET kickoff, but fans may want to tune in closer to 6:30 p.m. due to the teams warming up after the opening 4 p.m. game of No. 10-ranked Centre vs. Berry. Each winner advances to the championship game at 1 p.m. in Danville on Sunday. Admission is free and all live video and stats links can be found here.

The second-seeded Rhodes field hockey team will take on No. 3-seeded Concordia-Wisconsin in Lexington, Ky. on Saturday. The first semifinal game will begin at 11 a.m. ET with Transylvania University hosting the tournament. Each semifinal winner will meet for the championship game, scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday. No. 1-seeded Centre is ranked 14th overall and first in the Great Lakes region. All live streaming links can be found on the tournament website, as well as relevant ticket and admittance info.

In non-tournament action, both basketball teams open their 2019-20 seasons on Friday night at University of the Ozarks, before heading to Austin College for games on Sunday.
