MEMPHIS - The Rhodes College softball team dropped a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon to Kenyon and Webster. The Lynx fell 12-8 in the first game followed by an 11-5 loss in the afternoon game.
In the first game, the Lynx found themselves down 9-1, but used their offense to get back into the contest and make it a 9-8 game. The Ladies scored three in the seventh to pull away and take a 12-8 win.
Junior Allsion Long went 2-for-3 while junior
Kirsten Samuels was 1-for-1 with two RBIs, two walks, two stolen bases, and two runs scored. Sophomore
Katelynn Bresler drove in a pair of runs while senior
Christine Hume and junior
Caroline Sutton each scored two runs.

Anna Kula all drove in a run. Long took the loss in the circle, pitching all seven innings for the Lynx.
In the second game against the Gorloks, Rhodes took a 1-0 lead and made it a 2-1 lead after two innings. but eight runs in the next two innings put Webster ahead 9-2. The Lynx got three back in the fourth, but it was not enough as the Gorloks added insurance runs for the 11-5 win.
Hume finished 1-for-4 with two RBIs while Jackson was 1-for-3 with a run scored. Henry finished 1-for-2 with a double while sophomore

Bri Maniscalco took the loss for the Lynx in the circle, pitching all seven innings.
Rhodes is now 6-8 on the season and will turn their focus onto conference play as they welcome in the Birmingham-Southern Panthers, beginning a three game series with a doubleheader on Saturday at 12 PM.
