CONWAY, Ark. - The Rhodes College softball team dropped their final Southern Athletic Association matchup to Hendrix on Sunday afternoon, completing their conference schedule and earning the No. 6 seed at the SAA Championship in two weeks.
The Lynx got an excellent outing from freshman
Bri Maniscalco, who went all six innings, allowing only one earned run on five hits to go with four strikeouts.
However, the Warriors scored runs in the second and fifth innings to take a 2-0 advantage. Rhodes could not plate any runs throughout the game, leaving nine runners on base including the bases loaded in the second inning.
Rhodes only had four hits on the day coming from freshman
Katelynn Bresler, freshman
Haley Rath, senior
Erin Parker, and junior
Aubrey Blackstock. Parker also added a stolen base on the day as she continues to add to her career total.
The Lynx go to 20-16 and 4-14 in the SAA. They will be back in action next weekend for non-conference action as they welcome in Southwestern and No. 2 Emory. The Lynx will battle the Pirates on Saturday at 2 PM followed by a 4 PM matchup with the Eagles.
