MEMPHIS - Rhodes College announced today that head football coach Dan Gritti accepted an offer from Millikin University to become their head football coach. Gritti compiled a 29-19 record in five seasons for the Lynx, including back to back 8-2 seasons in 2013 and 2014. Rhodes was the 2013 Co-Champion of the Southern Athletic Association. Rhodes finished the 2015 season with a 4-6 record, losing the season finale to Millsaps 31-21.
"We would like to thank Dan for his contributions to the program the past five years," said Rhodes Director of Athletics
Mike Clary. "We wish him the best in his future endeavors."
Rhodes will begin an immediate search for a new head football coach.
