YORK, Pa.- In their 9th victory of the season, the Lynx and an explosive offense put away five second half goals to come back from a 2-0 halftime deficit against York College of PA.  Leading Rhodes attack was senior forward Katie Faucher, who opened the scoring with two back-to-back goals at the start of the second half. 

The Lynx were slow to start, finding themselves down 2-0 just ten minutes into the game on goals by Spartan forwards Holly Martin and Madi Wilt.  Rhodes was unable to find the back of the cage, despite a slight 14-13 edge in shots. 

After the break, the Lynx came on the field with a new found intensity.  Katie Faucher capitolized on a clear off the keepers pads, burying home her fifth goal of the season.  Just five minutes later Faucher found the back of the cage again on a scramble in the goal mouth, tying the game 2-2.  The game-winning goal came at the 59 minute mark, on a cross from Kat Simpson that Mackenzie Holland tipped past the York keeper to put the Lynx ahead 3-2. 

After a brief time-out the Lynx finished the last ten minutes of play with incredible hustle, putting in two more goals for a final score of 5-2.  Freshman forward, Julie Hertzman, earned the 4th tally on another Kat Simpson assist.  The final goal completed Faucher's hat-trick, on a beautiful set-up by Hertzman.  The goal was her 7th of the season and puts her in the lead as a category leader in both the Rhodes and SAA. 

The five goals that Rhodes scored in the second half was more than YCP had allowed up to this point in their 2012 season.  Allowing only three shots in the second half, Rhodes finished the game with a 29-17 advantage in shots and a 7-6 edge in penalty corners.  In 70 minutes of play, Rhodes goalkeeper Jordan Robinson recorded six saves.

The Lynx return to SAA action this Saturday with an away contest at Hendrix.  Game time is slated for 1:00 pm.
