BLOOMINGTON, IN – Several members of the Women's Track & Field team competed this past weekend at the Billy Hayes Invitational hosted by Indiana University, with several notable performances despite the strong winds and weather delays that ensued.
In the 3,000m steeplechase the senior duo of co-captain
Cybil Covic (Cordova, TN) and
Melissa DeFabrizio (Richmond Hills, Ontario) ran very strong races to finish in third and fifth place in respective times of 11:20.71 and 11:45.39. DeFabrizio's time was a season as well as a personal best by over eight seconds.
In the 100m hurdles, junior
Molly Buck (Austin, TX) finished in an outstanding eleventh place in a time of 15.15 seconds against a very competitive field comprised of Division I and Division II athletes. Buck also helped the 4x400m relay team of freshman

Julia Goss (St. Louis, MO) to a fourth place finish, crossing the finish line in 3:58.20.
