SEGIUN, TX - The Rhodes Women's Cross Country Team dominated the field at the 2010 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship, winning the Conference Title with a overall team score of just 19 points, well ahead of 2nd place DePauw University (63 points). The point total represented the lowest score in the 20 year history of the SCAC. The meet was hosted by Trinity University in San Antonio, TX.
The Lynx placed 6 runners in the top 8 positions, and were lead by overall champion
Taylor Stephens (Jr, Southlake, TX) who covered the 6000 meter course in 22:22. Stephens, who was named SCAC Runner of the Year, was also the 2008 SCAC individual champion. Following Stephens was a string of Lynx runners –

th / 23:22. Freshman Becca Olivarez rounded out the top 7 with a 17
th place overall finish in 23:47.
“We had quite a bit of confidence coming into the meet,” said Senior
Kelsey Dudziak. “But we didn't take anything for granted and maintained our intensity throughout the race. Everyone did a great job working together today, and I feel the team is in good position heading toward the Region and National Championship Meets.”
The Lynx are currently ranked 2
nd in the NCAA Division III Southeast Region, and 31st nationally. On November 13
th, Rhodes hosts the Southeast Region Championship. The top 2 teams advance to the National Championship Meet in Waverly, Iowa.
